Immigration

What makes someone an American? Do we need borders? If so, how do we arrange and enforce them? Should race be a factor? How about native language? Should civic contribution matter? How do we define that? Do we approve of historical immigration policies?

What should we do currently to address issues of immigration and citizenship? Should people born on this soil have greater citizenship status than those not born here?

What about jobs? Am I entitled to a specific job based on my race or place of birth? Should we hire on the basis of skill and ability to perform the job or something else?
